At the cattle market in the Industrial zone in Kraguj evac, it was held the 3rd Sumadian Agronomy Fair, which took place from September 22nd till September 24th 2006. The Fair was opened by the Mayor, Veroljub Stevanović, who said that this event spoke a lot about the City and previous activities of the local self-government. “We made an effort during past two years to improve development of our village through the investments in the filed of agronomy, what we consider as very important. At the same time, our aim is, and we are very successful in this intent, to make Kragujevac become a city in the European context. It is necessary for Kragujevac to be a fair city as well, and this event, more successful than previous fair, contributes to this intent” – emphasized the Mayor.

At the official opening of the Agriculture Fair, members of the Center for tradition and culture cherishing ''Abrašević'' presented their program. The Leading City Expert of Agriculture Dr. Snežana Živanović Katić delivered to the representative of the NGO ACDI/VOCA Goran Radojević fair recognition for the significant contribution in the organization of all three previous agriculture fairs.
In the frame of the 3rd Agriculture Fair in the District of Sumadija, the 7th regional exhibition of heifers was carried out, too. About 70 heads from Kragujevac, Rača, Lapova and Knić took part at the competition in three categories: milky cows, heifers and cows with one calf.
At the 7th regional exhibition of heifers at the Sumadian Agriculture Fair, Ljubiša Jovanović from the village of Gornje Grbice had the most numerous collection that is 10 heads. The award for the milkiest head “Elena” belonged to Dobrivoje Pajkić, which gives 9 000 l milk. On the second day, the board of the 3rd Sumadian Agronomy Fair in Kragujevac announced the winners of the fourth regional sheep exhibition, which was organized by the Sumadian Württemberg Breeders’ Association. “Sumadija Württemberg“ Association was awarded the most eminent Breeders’ Association and ACDI/VOCA dilivered to the Association hydraulic press for wool bundling. At the 3 rd Agriculture Fair, among 200 exhibitors, there were also agriculture equipment and machines’ producers, honey, domestic brandy and dried plums’ producers, domestic diligence etc.
In the organization of the Mushroom Association, the exponents of the 6th International Mushroom Exhibition were presented on the last day. The exhibition was opened on September, 23, 2006 at the Faculty of Mathematics and Science.
